Heavy industry is defined as an industry that produces capital goods. Its condition has a significant impact on the level and pace of a country’s economic development. In Poland, it has gone through several stages: from reconstruction after the Second World War, through expansion and modernization, to today’s new challenges related to implementing innovations in environmental safety and improving working comfort.

Decades of experience in industrial modernization

BIPROMET S.A. participated in every stage of the transformation of heavy industry, gaining experience and unique technological competences.

As a result, the modernization of Polish production plants took place through the design, construction and modernization of heavy industry facilities in Poland.

Moreover, from the very beginning, the company designed all smelters and processing plants for the copper group KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.

Projects for non-ferrous metals, aluminium and recycling plants

The most important projects, apart from those mentioned above in the copper industry, included participation in the construction and modernization of the non-ferrous metals industry, including zinc and lead plants such as ZGH Bolesław and HC Miasteczko Śląskie; aluminium plants, including Huta Aluminium Konin, plants of the Grupa Kęty Capital Group and ZM Skawina; as well as battery scrap recycling plants, including Baterpol and Orzeł Biały.

Modernization of production, dedusting and energy systems

During the modernization period, BIPROMET S.A. prepared documentation for the modernization and intensification of a number of key production nodes in the copper industry, aimed at improving technological processes, metallurgical furnaces, dedusting plants, machines and equipment, as well as energy media installations at HM Głogów I and HM Głogów II.

Environmental protection technologies for heavy industry

Thanks to the technological solutions developed in the field of dedusting and gas cleaning, BIPROMET S.A. expanded its activities into the provision of innovative environmental protection technologies. As a result, today the company acts as an expert, participating in projects related to technical innovations, modernization and the installation of new technological lines for domestic and foreign investors.
